Bolero
Believed to have evolved from Spanish and Afro-Cuban folk dances, Bolero is often referred to as the “Cuban Dance of Love.” While that might not be quite geographically accurate, that description does capture the sensuality of this dance’s rhythmic movements. Bolero music is slow and dreamy, often accompanied by Spanish vocals and soft percussion. You’ll learn to work your entire body in fluid, measured, enchanting motions while you move to the beat. No prior dance experience is needed to have fun learning this captivating, passionate style.
Cha-Cha
Become part of the music as you move your feet in time to the Latin rhythms of the cha-cha. An offshoot of the Mambo, this Cuban dance craze was first popularized in the mid-1950’s. It was originally known as the cha-cha-cha, as it derives its name from a distinctive 3-note syncopation on the fourth count. Energetic, stylish, and elegant, the cha-cha is a perfect partner dance, and everyone from beginning dancers to professionals can have a great time learning the basics or mastering the fine points.
Jive

Like the East Coast Swing, Jive is a dance for beginners, and dancers of all skill levels will be moving their knees and shaking their hips right away. The Jive can be danced to many styles of music, and while it is classified as a Latin dance, this style originated from the sounds of jazz, swing, and ragtime music.
